Mooli Patte Ki Sabzi | Radish Green Video Recipe


Do you trash the green radish (mooli) leaves? Well, then this recipe is for you! The radish greens are edible and have a distinct peppery flavour as compared to spinach but are full of health benefits just as any other greens and you can make many delicious recipes out of it. In this recipe, I will show you how you can make a quick sabzi by stir-frying them in mustard oil. I strongly recommend that you must try this recipe at least once. So, why wait? Let's roll!

Prep. time : 5 min. Cooking time : 7 min. Total time : 12 min. Serves : 2

Ingredients:

1 cup chopped radish greens (Mooli ke patte)
3 tbsp. mustard oil
1/4 tsp. ajwain (Carom seeds)
1/2 tbsp. red chilli powder
1/4 tbsp. turmeric powder
1/2 tbsp. coriander powder
Salt (to taste)
Red chillies (For garnishing)

Method:

1. In a kadhai / deep pan, add mustard oil to heat.
2. Add ajwain and when it starts to splutter, add chopped radish greens and sauté in medium flame.
3. Add salt, red chilli powder, turmeric powder and coriander powder. Mix well and cook for 4-5 minutes on a low flame and covered.
4. Take off the flame and garnish with chopped red chillies.
5. Serve hot with roti/rice.
